Not too long ago, our observant Founder started noticing the fastest swimmers in the world swim with their fingers slightly open. After extensive research and field testing with competitive swimmers, the first set of Aqua Knuckles was born in Los Angeles (2018). Aqua Knuckles are a matching pair of silicone bands you slip on the ring and middle fingers of both hands. These bands space your fingers 5mm apart – giving you the best open-finger positioning for better technique.
Our flagship product, the DUBL WIDE, will help you develop muscle memory in order to train yourself into better open-finger technique. Wearing the DUBL WIDE as little as a few times per practice will give you the feeling of proper finger separation. As some of the fastest swimmers in the world already know, having your fingers slightly separated increases your hand surface area up to 10%. What does this mean? It means your human paddles just got a whole lot bigger. This is going to let you pull through the water considerably faster – and get you to the wall ahead of your competitors. Studies have suggested that open-finger swimming can shave off .5 seconds per 50 yards. Aqua Knuckles mean faster swim times for you and your teammates.
What are Aqua Knuckles?
Aqua Knuckles are training aids worn during swim practice for competitive swimmers and anyone who wants to move through the water faster (surfers use them, too). Aqua Knuckles are double silicone bands slipped over the ring and middle fingers of each hand. They are sold in pairs and follow ring finger sizing, though many swimmers prefer a snug fit.
Why should swimmers use Aqua Knuckles?
Training with Aqua Knuckles on a few sets during practice at least every other day makes swimmers faster when they race at meets. Our extensive testing with competitive swimmers indicates that swimmers can shave off as much as .5 seconds per 50 yards.
Proper fit:
Aqua Knuckles should fit comfortably, and they should be slightly tight (not too tight). You don’t want them overly tight where you might cut off circulation. You also don’t want them so loose they fall off or jiggle while you swim. Our sizing tools measure for ring size of the ring finger. There are two finger openings for each Aqua Knuckles piece. The smaller opening is for the ring finger and the larger opening, for the middle finger. Please refer to the sizing chart when ordering.

Returns Policy
We offer a free returns service. We advise that customers keep either proof of posting or a receipt as we cannot be held accountable for items lost being returned to us.
Please note that this returns policy does not cover items such as special order swimwear, customised products and products ordered specifically at the request of a customer. Products such as these cannot be returned (unless faulty).

Please ensure that you have completed a CN22 Customs declarations form and that this has been clearly marked as being Returned Goods. Please mark the return parcel on the outside clearly as returned goods - failure to do this could result in Customs charges being applied to the parcel on its return. I regret we cannot accept parcels with customs duties and charges payable - these will be returned to sender.
Non-Faulty Goods
We do ask to please return items with the original packaging if possible and to leave hygiene seals on suits, please also include a copy of the invoice received clearly stating on this that you would like a refund for the return.
Please note that we will not accept non-faulty items back that have been worn or without their relevant packaging, labels or stickers.
If you would like to exchange an item for an alternative size, style or item please return the item to us along with a copy of your invoice, please note on the invoice what item is required as an alternative.
Faulty Goods
In the case of faulty goods, please contact us at [email protected] and give us details of the nature of complaint along with photos and the date of purchase and the care given to product.
In all cases of complaint we will endeavour to substitute faulty goods with an identical replacement, or substitute the goods with ones of similar value. This does not affect your statutory rights, and you may of course choose to have a complete refund if you are not 100% happy.
