DEBRA is the support charity of the Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) community.

EB is a genetic condition which stops the proteins that hold the skin together functioning. Sufferers endure a great deal of pain every day of their lives as the skin can tear and blister easily, meaning even getting dressed is an arduous task taking hours. A knock, or even a hug can potentially cause agonising blistering and permanent damage to a sufferer's fragile skin. Currently their is no cure for EB.

DEBRA funds vital research and development, supports families living with EB and educates the medical profession, acting upon the behalf of EB sufferers.

DEBRA is the chosen charity of Allens, and we are supporting their cause through the sale of items in our Charity Box which we take to swimming galas. DEBRA is a charity close to our hearts due to a family friend having a son who is a sufferer. If you visit our stand at a swimming gala, please look out for our Charity Box.
